ABC Has Picked Up A “Roseanne” Spinoff Called “The Conners”

ABC plan to rename” Roseanne” to “The Conners” without the controversial star Roseanne Barr.

ABC took the remarkable step of canceling ” Roseanne”  after star Roseanne Barr posted a racist tweet that compared Obama administration adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape. Barr regret for what she called a joke.. but the damage was done. The 10 episode will premiere this fall in the same Tuesday at 8pm.
The 10-episode describes the series suggested that Barr’s character has passed away.

As soon as Roseanne was canceled.  a plan was designed to create a spinoff.. Gilbert,  who organized the original revival of the show, and who was an executive producer in the 10-episode of Roseanne” Bruce Helford and Tom Werner of Carsey-Werner were meet together to brainstorm ideas.

The difficult part was figuring out how to start a new show without Barr’s  According to ABC “Roseanne Barr will have no financial or creative involvement in the new series.

Barr said” I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from Roseanne” I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and i wish the best for everyone involved”  Werner the executive producers of the show added” We are grateful to have reached this agreement to keep our team working as we continue to explore stories of the Conner family”.
